If you don't have a luggage rack you have two options: 1) Buy car clips and put them on the straps. In harsh conditions under extended periods of time water may come in through the seams. We do offer a waterproof liner option. When used with the RZ100, your gear will stay 100% dry. NEVER EVER exceed the weight limitations of your luggage rack. If you are unsure call the vehicle or rack manufacturer and find out the weight limitations.
