Car clips: Buy these to install OUR CTCs on a hard top vehicle without a luggage rack. Shaped like the letter "J" they are one inch wide, rubber coated steel. There is a slot on each clip for the strapping system to pass through. Newer Piggy Packs may have to take off male buckle, insert car clip and rethread the male buckle (when you see it, it's obvious). The curved part slips over any sturdy ledge inside the door frame or on a rain gutter. There are two clips for each side of the vehicle and they need to be spaced 20" apart. When you tighten the straps, they pull the PP down and the clips up, holding the load in place. You should limit the weight on your car roof to 100 lbs or less.
