Material: Piggy Pack Sport 1 & 3 rooftop carriers are made with the best materials and highest quality craftsmanship. The material is Hydro-Tuff, polyester with vinyl backing. Water does not permeate the fabric & it does not fade in the sun. It's like back-pack material. 

Small: Sport 1 is approximately 14-18" high, 34" wide, and 38" long.  It holds 12 cubic feet, or about the size of an small car trunk. Piggy Pack Sport folds smaller than one cubic foot.  Weight:  6 lbs

Large: Sport 3 is approximately 15-18" high, 40" wide, and 48" long.  It holds 18.3 cubic feet, or about the size of an small car trunk. Piggy Pack Sport folds smaller than one cubic foot.  Weight:  9 lbs

StrapRight Strapping System:  You will receive 4 sets of straps.  This will allow you to attach Sport car top carriers on 2 or 4 bar luggage racks.  If you don't have a luggage rack, you have two options.  1) Buy car clips and put them on the straps.  You must read about car clips here to see if they work on your car. 2) You can attach two strap sets together and make very long straps and run them complete through your car and overtop of Piggy Pack.  We have a page dedicated to StrapRight and how to use them; click here.

ZipRight (TM) closure:  This patented closing is the newest and hottest technology to ever hit car top carriers.  Rather than put the zipper under the flap, our urethane coated zipper is built into the back and underside of the flap.  "Zipper in the flap"  Water blown under the flap is totally rejected.  Read more below.

Water proof...weather resistant, what's the deal?

Above left is a picture of other car top carriers.  A zipper under the flap lets road wind blow water into the bag.  Pictured right is ZipRight (Patent Pending) with a zipper in the flap, water is rejected, keeping your gear dry dry dry!

Piggy Pack Sport is made of waterproof material and ZipRight keeps more water out than any other car top carrier with a zipper.  However, there are double stitched seams.  With seam sealer (that you apply) PP Sport is waterproof.  For extra water protection you can pack your stuff in our waterproof liner and put it inside the Sport.  The liner closure will need a rubber band (it was designed to fit the Classic model perfectly, but we find you can also use it with the Sport model as well.
